Hows everyone doing? Saw the scores from last week through this weekend.
Centennial doing well...Primas 2 wins..may have won their tournament?? Palo Verde doing well..Salazar 2 early wins...Cimarron on a roll..won their tournament went 4-0. Willinsky, Muir, Standart and Holland wins. They are going for NV HS homerun record and scoring record as a goal this year say the players. Off to a good start...scored 60 runs in 4 games with 10 hr's led by Esquivel and Felker 3 each.

Could be a team to deal with.

Lots of tough teams this year; it's now or never for Centennial. I was told by my brother that the state tournament is going back to the old format with two teams from the north and two from the south. I haven't asked anyone else about it but if it's true, there's going to be a battle in the Sunset. Green Valley should blow by everyone in the Sunrise division despite a slow start and I expect them to be state champions again.

ericz..i wouldn't count on GV running through the Southeast. They have struggled so far and may have a chemistry issue as their coach stated in the RJ. Centennial will be tough with all the seniors, but they still have to play the game. I'm sure Cimarron and Palo will show up to play...lol

By the way McKeaige threw yesterday...did well. I think you'll be surprized this year...they will need him.

They did the same thing last year, but came together after their first league game and you know how the rest of the story goes. McKaeige did well yesterday. He'll be good to eat up innings if needed, and who knows who'll be the starters come playoff time.

I do agree that the teams in the Sunset division will be tough, but the Sunrise seems to be in a down year (especially Silverado).
ericz..you are right on on the Sunrise. However, with Big Gertz and Morris they will come around...have faith. Cimarron now 6-0 with 87 runs scored and 8 allowed with 15 HR's. THEY ARE ON FIRE...JORGE(PUG) ESQUIVELIS DEFINITELY THE #1 PLAYER IN NEVADA WITHOUT EXCEPTION. 5 HR'S ALREADY AND 20+ RBI'S, MUST BE HITTING .700.

GV caught some fire today beating S Vista easily. Cimarron downed Fotthill 13-1.

Talk to you later.
