Hawaii state playoffs are going on this week. Sons team is in division 2 so nothing too special. game before theirs last night was a team that features Kodi Mederios (top lefty), son tells me there were about 15 scouts there with guns watching him. Kid pitched well, was cruising at 93, couple of HBP and 8k's. looks like the real deal. lost 2-0 though

The exciting part was that some of the scouts stayed for the 2nd game, Son made a diving catch in CF, couple of hits and threw out a runner at home on the fly from deep CF. after the game one of them came up to him and congratulated him on his play. Smiled when he found out my kid is a Sophomore, made my sons year i think. Of course he got no info (dang 15 year olds) and i was not there. I know for a fact my son gets a bit down every so often knowing where we live and that the opportunities are not as great as elsewhere, was fantastic for his attitude that anything can happen at anytime. renews faith a bit

Good for him!  Sorry you missed it!
Just maybe the MLB will start drafting like the NFL has started doing...less players being drafted out of Top Ten, Top 12 colleges, and getting players you have never heard of, or for that matter, Colleges that are unrecognizable!

You never know who is watching, relaying info on a player, wherever you reside!
