My high school is wanting to "upgrade" the baseball facilities- this includes dugouts, dressing rooms, storage area, press box, concession stand, bleachers, etc. If you could build your own facility, what would the lay out look like. Anybody have any suggestions, commments, pictures, blueprints?????

Nice - congrats on this nice Christmas gift.

This place will do a good job of helping you but my advice is to google different high schools and see what they have posted on their website.

To help you get started Bulldog 19's old high school has just opened up a new building / facilities and he has some pics. Contact him thru PM and I'm sure he will be more than happy to help.

Another one is google Pleasure Ridge Park High School Louisville KY. They have an awesome place to play baseball at.

Coach, you're gonna require me to go take some pictures, huh? Wink

Mike B, make sure you have LOTS of room. Our field is built on a rather small plat of ground.. as in a high school baseball field on an area the size a little bigger than a softball field!
Our high school field has a two story building behind home plate that houses a concession stand, announcer's booth, storage, restrooms and a team room.

The coach, who worked hard to get the donations to get it built, told me that the concession stand could not look out over the diamond because of Title IX. Since the baseball diamond is only used by the boys and the softball field doesn't have a building those working the concession stand are not able to see the game unless they step outside. The concession window is at a right angle from home plate. If what the coach told me is true about the Title IX requirements just be aware you might face the same thing.
