OK, I guess I've been living under a rock.
I just took an online look at the DII University of New Haven and I'm astounded at this coach's record. Is this stuff true?
Head Coach Vieira - 42 seasons
record: 1,079 - 291 - 5 (that's winning at a .789 clip for more than 40 years!)
" Under Vieira 61 former players have signed major league contracts, including the entire 1985 starting lineup."

Like I said, I'm under a rock. Or is this program under the radar?

Anybody have any insight into the school?

Thanks.

100% True..I beleive Coach V was in Sports Illustrated an issue or two ago on these accomplishments. I am proud to say my Son was recruited New Haven(signed LOI in Nov.) and will be playing for them the next 4 years. I do beleive though this is coach V's last year and coach Cerratto will be taking over, big shoes to fill, but seems like a great baseball guy.
If you or anyone hasn't noticed New Haven is tearing it up in the NYCAC Leauge where they were predicted to finish 6th and they are in first place in the Division at 19-2 (28-8 overall)and have a 12 game unbeten streak! GO CHARGERS!!!

Pioneer where in WNY you from? I am an Lackawanna transplant.
