Since Regions are now non-exsistent does anyone know what the VHSL is going to do with the out of season practice rule come July 1 ? As of right now, with the Regions being eliminated,(Regions had met and enacted restrictions, some tighter than others, which did not seem fair, since some regions could do more than others in the off season) what can high school coaches do in the off season now statewide? Will conferences each enact their own set of rules now that there are no regions, or will it just be one rule for the whole state to follow ??

I hear the VHSL is instituting a mandatory period of eight months of rest (mid-June through late February). However, in any month that a team practices instead of rests, they can still count that month as a month of rest. Or something like that......

I think as long as you don't pitch more than one inning per day, you can pitch every day of the month and still count that as a month of rest.
