New To Forum - I hate Rain!!!

Welcome, I found this site a few months ago and have really enjoyed it. I like reading all the post and whenever I ask for advice it is for the most part very good. I also have two sons, a senior LHP/CF/1B and a freshmen C/3B. My oldest son is an early singee to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I believe you will really enjoy this site but becareful it is addictive, I can't go one day without checking in to see whats new. Oh and I hate the rain too, we have had our share lately.

welcome Kungla... I know what you mean about the pitching, since mine does that too...my sister asked me the other night why I even bring my chair to sit by her, as I pace and stand up when my son pitches...

I think that you will find the site informative, fun, and a great place to visit and to get support from other baseball moms (Sorry, BigHit et al ... there is something different about moms that baseball dads just can't relate to ... ) when the going gets tough. You both have lots of exciting years ahead of you and I hope that you will look to some of us baseball "sisters" here in the Ladies' Lounge for advice and help. It is a good place to vent ... but be careful. Sometimes the men come in here to visit as well ... they definitely have a different perspective on things ... and occasionally we hurt their feelings because we tell jokes that seem insensitive to their sensitive sides

According to the Birthday Billboard ... apparently I am chronologically the oldest of the Ladies' Lounge sisters ... altho it appears that PAMom and baseballmom are close behind. Doesn't mean I am wiser ... just older ...

That's me, jumping up and down. I'm getting so excited because the snow is pretty much melted here, and I hear forecasts of clear weather for next week! First JV game scheduled for Monday (my 06 son ... the musician ... but he made the team and I hope he gets to play!). And the first varsity game Tuesday ... my 04 RHP son will be the starting pitcher.

I am so excited to watch some baseball!

Beautiful weather here in Oklahoma all week. We have had a full week of baseball beginning last Monday and finishing up today. Welcome to the new baseball moms. I have an 8th grade catcher, but he is the #2 pitcher on his jr. high team. I completely understand the PMS thing.

We must start early cause our regular season is almost over, only two more weeks, then 1st Round of State Playoffs start April 21st. We've been playing since Feb 16. We have an area game tonite against the #1 team. I just hope we don't get 10-runned ;-(

Hello to all. I have been reading this site for several years, only recently worked up the nerve to post (actually was "outed" by a very nice lady I met at one of my son's games). Thank you, ladies, for all of the wonderful insight and encouragement (and laughs).

One more thing...I have a question. I clicked into the hsbbw chat room last night. I was not sure of chat room "manners", gentlemen there were quite polite but is it ok to not contribute to the conversation (unless addressed)? I am quite in awe of the baseball knowledge on this site, but not particularly acute in this area (I still think if a kid hits the ball, it should be a hit).
