New (to me at least) Great Baseball Line

Great line. Mitch Williams went to the same high school as me.

He joined the Cubs when I was living in Chicago. I remember the very first game of the season - Williams brought in as closer in a one run game in the ninth. He walked the bases loaded and then struck out the side!

Classic "Wild Thing!"

Small world... Mitch and I live in the same town here in NJ. I see him from time to time at our kids sporting events. I'm sure Mitch doesn't remember who my son is but he actually was a part time coach on his 13 YO team when we first moved to NJ. (Mitch's stepson was on the team)

Mitch made a comment when he fist saw jerseyson pitch, "this kids got a nice little arm". Should have known then he would become a baseball analyst.

Mitch does the Phillies post game wrap up. He is always honest and funny with no sugar coating.
He gives you the feeling you're getting inside info straight from the locker room. It's nice to get a players view of game situations.
