Not really a big deal.. Wish they would have changed the the "Immediate Dead Ball" Balk rule to the College rule.. maybe next year..

NFHS 2013 Baseball Rules Changes

1-3-2 NOTE: Clarifies and places additional emphasis on the importance and legal repercussions of altering non-wood baseball bats.

3-3-1f: Restricts the use of any video monitoring or replay equipment for coaching purposes during the course of the game.
...
3-3-1i: Restricts the use of any electronic devices in the coach's box.

6-2-2c Exception: Clarifies that an incoming pitcher be treated equally. If a pitcher is ejected, an incoming pitcher should be afforded the same warm-up criteria as if he were replacing an injured player.

POINTS OF EMPHASIS

1. Pace of Play

2. Compliant Bats

3. Pitcher's Stance

4. Risk Minimization

5. Good Sporting Behavior

Interesting!! So football (we know they look at video during the course of a game to set up plays), basketball, s****r, track....can use video equipment but not baseball. I guess they need to define - video monitoring or replay equipment. So can a coach video his batter during a game so he can help the kid improve as long as it's not reviewed during a game? I guess that would qualify as monitoring. So if he records his batters and uses it after the game at practice that should be ok?
