My son tried these for the first time tonight. He got a demo pair from the eye doctor. He was 2-4 with 2 line drive outs. Anyone else used these? He thought they helped.

He used them at night? Seems like it would be too dark. I used them for a couple of day games and even then I thought they made every thing too dark. The red tint bothered me, and I didnt like them all that much...But what ever works for him.
If you use them in a night game, and when I say night I mean pitch black with lights on, they will be ineffective. They will only work to their full potential on sunny bright days.
It was an afternoon/early evening game. I wrote this at night after the game. Sorry for the confusion. He did note on the way home from the game that things were too dark.
We researched these and as soon as they became available, really wanted them, but son has astigmatism and was not a candidate. There was a really good article a couple years back with some of the pros who were trying them out.
There are a couple of players on our Connie Mack team that wear them. They really like them. You can't wear them for night games though.
i have wore them for two seasons and absolutely love them. they only work during the day as stated in above posts. i do have an astigmatism but i think they really help.
My son tried them but didn't like switching back and forth. Since most of his HS and Showcase games were in late afternoon or evening and all of his Legion games were evening, he finally quit wearing them.
His opinion was that they helped some during the middle part of a sunny day but if the game was late afternoon and on into the evening or just cloudy and overcast, they just weren't worth it.
