Congrats Jason!

NL Rookie of the Year!

The award was well deserved!

Us Atlanta fans have thoroughly enjoyed watching you play the game of baseball this year on a different level. I for one can't wait to see how you mature and play this game going foward!

As Eyeontheball, stated, this is not the "Official" Rookie of the Year award. All the official awards are not announced until after the World Series. Many people do not know that what a player does in the playoffs does not count as the votes are already in. If you added in the playoffs, they would undoubtedly help Posey's cause but the vote will be close because none of that matters. It really comes down to Heyward's more extensive body of work with a very good OBP against Posey's more difficult position, less time, but the added pressure of being asked to be a playoff contender's cleanup hitter. Truthfully, I feel you can't go wrong with either, although I have Posey the winner by a nose.

Well said, in regard to both comments. However, the joining the club late rationale may be just that for some who voted, finding a reason to not vote for Posey.

I just think we're fortunate to get to enjoy 2 such outstanding rookies in the same year. If ever there was a justification for co-ROY, this might be the year for it.
