The post MN-Mom started on moderating issues has now been locked because a moderator felt "it had run it's course".

I fail to see the harm that was being caused by leaving it open. Although I'm not going to make a mountain out of a molehill, it would seem this action is a good example of what others have complained about, and that's the quick trigger finger of moderators.

A valid claim can be made that some posters had made the thread personal, but those same posters make nearly every thread personal and wait in the weeds for opportunities to pounce on each other. If that were the criteria, nearly every thread they participate in should be locked.

Here's my suggestion for moderators...lighten up.
