No Hitter one error from PerfectGame!

Error wasn't by Kung Fu Panda, but by Uribe. Panda can do no wrong! Way to go Dirty Sanchez! You were dealing tonight! Sweet!

it was do for the staff. The Freak went 6 innings perfect last night. Tonight was Johnson's start but he went on 15 day disabled list and Sanchez was given the start. This was the first game that Sanchez's father has ever seen him pitch in the majors. The stars were aligned.

I had a Field of Dreams moment there watching a proud father embrace his son in the dugout after the game.
Couldn't be happier for the recently scuffling Sanchez, and for his father who flew in from Puerto Rico to be there for him.

What a great story this was.

I'd feel sorry for Uribe, but that grounder was a tough one to handle. Clearly not a base knock, but one of those hard hit balls he had to move to get, then had to try to glove on a mid hop.

What a staff. What a re-building process. Pretty amazing to watch this franchise morph in just a few short years...

No hope...mired in the worst stadium in the majors with a go nowhere team/franchise...they manage to swing a privately financed wonderful new ballpark in a great bayside/downtown location...Cash in financially but then seriously crash under the weight of a controvesial, aging superstar...then rebuild themselves just a few short years on the basis of some great young arms...and the farm system has some great young prospects..

Not out of the fog yet...but the future's so bright you gotta/wear shades...

That game had my wife and I on the edge of the sofa last night for hours. He had such electric stuff - and was just mowing them down inning after inning.

When the 9th rolled around, I linked my son in by iChat so he could see and hear the TV to watch the 9th. (He is away at summer ball and didn't get the game on his TV). When strike three was called you could have heard the three of us miles away!!!

These are great stories!

The no-hitter/perfect game is one of the most exciting things in sports. The pitch-to-pitch drama is unbelievably exciting. Baseball always comes back to remind us why indeed it is the greatest game.
