No out of state tuition in Mississippi?

So far it was waived this year but you never know about the future,

so it was not approved by the house?

I assume it hasn't been decided in the house. The article (see link) was unclear to me what students from what states under what circumstances would be eligible for in-state tuition.

The Miss schools are at a disadvantage without the waiver. Louisiana use the waiver. Did the State of Mississippi ever get a tuition program like Bright Scholars (FL), HOPE (GA) or TOPS (LA), which pays a (good) portion of in-state tuition for good students? Ron Polk wasn't happy with that.

Why would Polk be unhappy it? Does it take away kids from his program?

This would enable them to economically bring in out of state players---when my son was being recurited Coach Polk told me he could bring in two or three instate players for what it was going to cost him to bring in my son from out of state---pure economics--simply pure economics

When my son was being recruited by Coach Polk, MSU had a program where out of state students did not pay out of state tuition if they had a 3.00 & 24 ACT.

Unfortunately my guy was not in that group
