There was some info on this in another recent thread as well. Interesting concept. Although, synthetic gloves are certainly not new to baseball. Various synthetic and mesh gloves have been produced for quite some time but have been considered cheaper options to leather gloves. Some of the "advantages" this company promotes are actually disadvantages. Leather has always been preferred because it does stretch and form to both your hand and to the shape of the ball in the pocket. If lighter weight is desired, Kangaroo is a natural option, although it, too, is expensive. Another selling feature this company claims is it's custom fit. Once a leather glove is broken in, it is also custom to your hand and you can continue to manipulate the shape by loosening or tightening the laces. I haven't actually had one of these on my hand, so I could be wrong. But I think this guy has an uphill battle against tradition on this one.
