Interesting game. Annandale had to win it twice.
What happened?

It looks like a game between Madison and Langley never got played on 3/25. Will that game be made up or will they both just finish the regular season with one less game?

Any truth to this? If so what position does he play?
Thanks

The kids. LB has been consistent from March through May - no ups, no downs. They can hit 1-9 in the lineup.
Some teams have improved (SC, WS - I think they have gotten stronger defensively, IMO is due to coaching) Some have gotten worse.

It is both but most important is the offseason program development like weight lifting conditioning and continually playing on teams, continued emphasis on hitting and fundamentals. That is coaching and the kids putting everything in to baseball!

We'll have to agree to disagree. Most other programs have off season training. Besides, coaches are directing what they want the kids to do... not coaching, right? Unless Rutherford is breaking the rules? Almost every team has weight room workouts, hitting instruction, and kids playing on elite travel teams.
It's the kids - just by the fact that they have remained steady throughout the season. I have not seen them change, one way or the other. Which in their case is a good thing. You can't say the same for some other teams, is my point. SoCo has steadily gotten stronger, better pitching, better hitting, WS defense is much better than at the start of the season. IMO is due to good coaching. LB was good all around in March and still the same in May.

Then I would like to see Rutherford take West Po kids and get the same results. Can he? Isn't that the sign of a great coach?
So would I...How much money are we talking about???

precisely.
May seem simple, but that's it. It's not the size of the HS, "youth" baseball programs, or magic pixie dust.
It is good quality coaching, communication, and dedication. Other NR coaches (seemingly) prefer to wait for the occasional "stud" player or two & then later complain about "down" years.

High quality "youth" programs, from little league to Babe Ruth or whatever, surely DO make a difference as they feed into a higgh school "program". No doubt about it. They are part of the "program" and should not be forgotten. Most good coaches will tell you that.
