In the concorde I thinkit goes like this:

2 seed Robinson Bye 6-4 Wins on record against top seed (Westfield)
3 seed Centreville 6-4 hosts 6th seed Herndon 2-8
4 seed Oakton 5-5 hosts 5 seed Chantilly 4-6

In the Liberty:

#1 Stone Bridge (11-3) double bye
#2 McLean (10-4) double bye

#3 Marshall (9-5) bye...plays the winner of #6 vs #7
#4 Madison (9-5) bye...plays winner of #5 vs #8

#5 Langley (9-5) plays #8 Thomas Jefferson (0-14)
#6 Fairfax (6-8) plays #7 South Lakes (2-12)

I know in the Patriot at least 1st round games are Monday, quarters are Wednesday, semis are Friday, and the final is Monday the 21st. BUT, the weather looks like it may not cooperate early in the week, so games will probably slide.

Oakton 5 Chantilly 3 lighting delay after 4.5 innings. Game was at Oakton, not sure if the district requires it to be completed or what the rules are.

dont know if it is a district issue vs VHSL...I am hearing that this will be a final result. No contact with the respective ADs to confirm, but that is what is out on the "news"...

Fairfax 4 - South Lakes 3 top of 4 before stopped.

Continue or start over tomorrow? Have heard from Fairfax people both ways.

Better late than never, these are the first round games in the National.

#1 Yorktown (13-1) v #8 Falls Church (1-13)
#2 Hayfield (10-4) v #7 Wakefield (3-11)
#3 Stuart (10-4) v #6 Mt. Vernon (5-9)
#4 Edison (7-7) v #5 W-L (7-7)

The Yorktown game has been rescheduled for 5/16, the other 3 were scheduled to go 5/15.

Stuart has to be a big feel good story in the region. I've seen National records going back to 2002 and Stuart didn't win more than 4 district games in a season over that span until putting up 10 this year. The Post shows them beating Mt. Vernon 6-3, so it looks like they'll be in the regional.

Wakefield has been declared the winner over Hayfield. The game had been stopped in the bottom of the 6th with Wakefield leading 7-6 and Hayfield batting with a man on and no outs. http://www.sungazette.net/arli...b9-0019bb2963f4.html Guess they decided to use the result at the end of 5.

Wow - no Madison? Goes to show it is anyone's tourney to win. They were touted early to be one of the top teams.

Robinson beats Centerville 3-1, Denis Mikush with 12K complete game. Westfield beats Oakton 7-5, Wade Ardini pitched well in relief to secure the win.

The two teams will play @ Chantilly HS for the Concord title on Monday.

Anyone know the Northern Regional Brackets???

I know that in the opening round Patriot lines up with National and Concorde lines up with Liberty.

Anyone know who threw today for mclean and stone bridge?

Does that mean south county didnt make the regionals?

All teams playing in their respective semis in the district make the regions. South County will be the 3rd seed from the Patriot District and will play the Stuart/Yorktown loser.

oh ok Defending Champion Great Bridge won 1-0they have to win 2 more games though to make regionals!

Robinson wins Concorde District tournament, congrats to the Rams!!

In a bit of an upset, Robinson takes the Concord District final with by a final score of 4-2. Robinson starting the past several games with four sophomores and a freshman in the lineup continued their solid pitching to pick up the win.

Matt Spaulding pitched 7 strong innings, giving up the only two runs on a Wade Arduini HR to deep Right Field. Kyle Corwin also had a couple nice hits for Westfield.

Patrick Baker led off the games with a double and scored Robinson's 1st run. Denis Mikush contributed to the offense with a double (RBI), Sac Fly (RBI) and a walk.

Robinson ends District play on a four game winning streak. I’m not sure when the last time Robinson won the Concord Disrict, but Coach James 1st year is a successful one.

Stone Bridge 3, McLean 1

Robinson last won the Concord District in 2007, so it's been only five years. Congratulations to all the District winners.
