bcb3 - agreed, let's see how everything shakes out with the other teams. Maybe others will chalk up 11+ runs tomorrow.

golf - I realized I read the post wrong that is why I corrected it.

Again, my point was, yes LB has a good team, but so do the other 3 teams. To run up the score against the weakest teams in the Pat district and say "boy those kids sure can hit", is not a true representation of what they will likely face. That's all. Smile

I hear you about hitting against great pitching. LB usually see's every team's number one pitcher each game. But probably, just like in your son's district, there's not a pro prospect on the mound against you every night. Some nights, yesSmile As far as running up the score, in those last two games, with both games going 4.5 or 5 innings, the entire starting lineup was pinch hit for after the third inning.

I guess I should not have used the term "run the score up" sometimes, it is not necessarily running up the score, it's just that the line-up can hit or the #1 is out.

Not sure who West Po's #1 is. Everyone is saying Annandale's #1 (Shubert) is tough - and once he is relieved it appears the wheels fall off the cart. WS - Wahl, WTW - McGuillicudy, SoCo - Harrison or Beal?
TC - ?
For my money, LB is the best hitting team 1-9 in the Patriot.

No matter how you shake it, up to this point in the seaon, it appears as though WS, LB, SC, and WTW are coming out of the Patriot this year. From what I have seen, all four are capable of winning the region IMO.

SC plays TC tonight and then WS tomorrow. Beal had electric stuff in his last start and he may be slated to go against Wahl tomorrow night in what could be a great game. You may recall the last time these two met, it went something like 16 innings over two days before it was decided!

McLean beats Stone Bridge 2-1. Sean Fitzgerald gets the win for the Highlanders and Steve Putnick piched well for SB in taking the loss. Both pitchers went the whole way for their teams. Game ended with SB baserunner gunned out by Denis Buckley while attempting to steal third of all things. Seemed a rather odd decision, to say the least.

Josh Sborz and Ethan Gaba had SAC fly RBI's for McLean.

Yea...it was a disappointing way to end, but a well played game over all by both teams...
