Stone Bridge and Loudoun Valley were tied 2-2 after 4 and Stone Bridge was up 4-2 after 6 before opening it up in the top of the 7th. Final was 10-2 Stone Bridge. James Timbers, Loudoun Valley baseball player and Stone Bridge coach who passed away from cancer in January, was honored before the game. James Timbers son threw out the first pitch.

Westfield won 13-0 over Forest Park - I heard it was in 5.
Your right bbfan, that was an ugly played game and to top it off the Blues were making it hard for both sides with some pretty bad calls. I guess everybody, blues included, are trying to shake off some rust. I thought the Garfield starting pitcher did well for the first 3 innings, but lost his composure and was not a factor after that. The Stafford team didn't help themselves either by having some scoring opportunities that they couldn't capitalize on. Twice had bases loaded, once with 1 out and the other with no outs, but didn't score. The only thing these kids never lost was their will to win and play the game hard til the end. That is some good coaching and some players who believe in themselves. Stafford was without their #1 pitcher and hitter who will be back in 2-3 weeks.

Not a big deal. WWWAAAAYYYYYY too much worry about pitch count these days. It's gone off the deep end.

You might be right. But, how many pitches would you let your star pitcher throw in March? 120, 130, 140? Do you think Strasburg is throwing 110 in Fla. ? Personally, if he was my kid, he'd throw no more than 80 pitches this time of year. Again, I don't know the situation either.

My kid has his arm in condition to GO when the season starts. That's what preseason is for.

That's good, but you didn't answer the question. How many pitches would you let him throw in March? 110 just seems like alot.

I would have no problem with that. 100-120.
Don't know any details on that Annandale win, sorry greenmonstah.

Wahl threw 104 pitches, which is enough to have a conversation about, considering it was his first outing of the year, and it was a chilly evening in March. He was throwing consistently 88-91 on the gun throughout the game. He's a big strong kid, i think he was taken out at the right time.
