It was a juco until a year or two ago. The juco program was above average, sending quite alot of kids to SEC and sunbelt schools.
It probably still is a JUCO as far as Athletics are concerned. Most if not all the Florida JUCO's now offer 4 year degrees through affiliations with Florida based Universities. Daytona is now Daytona State, Manatee has changed their name, etc.
The baseball program is in fact still a JUCO. A kid from up in our neck of the woods is playing there and to my surprise beat Chipola JC a couple times this fall.
