I am afraid I really don't. I know it is halfway between Dayton and Toledo on I75. I used to pass through as a kid driving with my parents. Only stopped at Kewpies, burger joint a couple of times.
Other that that I assume it is your typical Ohio Town.
Son and I went to a game last spring to watch a friends son play. Top notch, and gorgeous field. Would rival a lot of D1's I've seen. From my brief encounters, seemed like a good coaching staff. I know the head coach has background with Kent State and their pitching coach is a former OSU standout.
Not much in the way of "campus", has more of a feel of the technical school it once was. Friend tells me they are expanding and building like crazy academically and athletically, pouring lots of money into both.
Dont know much about Lima itself, but seems to be a typical Ohio town, middle class former manufacturing town trying to reinvent itself, like many others around the state.
Coincidentally, did hit Kewpies on the way home and that place is a keeper. Great fresh burgers.
I have seen video of the field and it does look very nice. Baseball must be on the fast track, per the website they got one vote in the top 25 for NAIA schools...not bad for second year of business.
The field is beautiful. And I agree...there really is no "campus", but I believe they are trying to continue to expand. They continue to build housing. There is a mall and lots of franchise restaurants and stores nearby. I'm not a huge fan of the city of Lima, but the school seems to be working hard to improve and expand. I believe I heard once that the president is committed to improving the school and the sports programs.
