To all those who have posted about my son Jonathon, I would like to take a moment and tell you all what it has meant to us. I have been a voyeur of this sight for the past 3 years. I have read your posts and chuckled, LOL, disagreed, empathized, sympathized and felt humbled at various different times. OldBat-Never is a dear dear friend of mine that I go to, seeking baseball information (she is EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGABLE), seeking teenage rearing advice, girlfriend chats and the like. I will know her until I leave this earth. I have always been a tad bit envious of her relationships on this site as it has always been apparent no matter what the topic is, how close you all are. I never dreamed my son or family would be a thread but I want you all to know how much your kind words thoughts and prayers have meant to all of us.

When your child gets hurt in the game you have supported each and everyday that he has played, I will admit to you, all the intensity about baseball disappears in an instant and you are left with those you have chatted with, shared hotels with, laughed with, rivaled with, argued with, are all now praying for your child’s life. Side by side, shoulder to shoulder. I am so deeply grateful there are no words to express… I want all of you to know how important this has been to Jonathon as I read each post, and with help from OBN explained who different posters are. Jonathon’s words, not mine, “I am so lucky to have them, I wonder if they know are really lucky to have each other.”

Jonathon is home, moving gingerly, has some cognitive rehabilitation work to do, but has no motor skill or strength loss. He is expected to improve each and everyday. He wants to return to school, as he feels he is missing too much calculus and he is aching to get back to the field. Time will tell for each venue.

On this Easter weekend, please accept my deepest appreciation for your prayers and may God’s grace shine down upon you and yours always.

With much love, respect and admiration,

Jill LeGuen

And apparently I am not really good at humor and the timing of such humor either.......

Collikar and MomandCPA: Is it time for the 90mph Jugs joke yet that I saved for the PM?

In light of the recent moratorium on jokes, I'd save it for a bit longer!

Hawkman,

I know you are proud of your school and speak highly of your coach and rightly so, in speaking to Jill over the past couple of days she has mentioned that Coach Stone came to the hospital several times as did your trainer and you have sent numerous PM's which I have shared with her.

Hebron's Baseball staff, players and parents are a CLASS ACT!

OBN,
Jill, Jonathan and several others on this board are fortunate to have friends like you who step up when needed. You kept this community apprised of the situation when few of us had any clue to how the young man was progressing, and you took care of a mom who needed any kind of good news over a couple of scary days. There are a lot of Coach Stones in the baseball community, and many of them post on these very boards.
