What is the word out of South Bend on who will take over the Irish program? I have not heard a peep out of anyone as to which coaches may be consider.

UVA's O'Connor (formerly assistant of the year at Notre Dame) has publicly taken himself out of the runnin -- thank goodness (at least from the perspective of those of us around here!)
They're staying very quiet about this. It would be nice, however, to know who it is before we pack up our son and send him up there in six weeks. Thanks Paul.

At least we'll get to see how PM does against a real schedule. No more little sister's in the SEC.
It has been implied by others that he may not be all that glad to see Mainieri again, but I really don't know the circumstances about his transfer from ND.
