Before anyone puts down the accomplishment and calls it LL the core of a softball is not nearly as dense as a baseball. Plus you have to be quick to hit line drives when a pitcher is about forty feet away (rubber is forty-three feet) coming off the hip upon release. 

It’s never hard on this board to figure out who doesn’t have/had a female athlete in their family. There was one poster who posted the only competition girls should be in are cooking competitions.

I’m surprised by this story. It wasn’t that long ago college softball was the PAC 12 and the ROY ** bus. Now several conferences are strong, have top ranked teams and win national titles. I believe the migration started when Tennessee convinced Monica Abbott, a CA native and dominant pitcher who went on to Team USA to leave the west coast. Then a Virginia team shocked the world winning 18u Gold ASA Nationals.,
