Saw the one for college and was wondering what people's HS freshman are doing.

Mine is running 4 to 5 days a week and lifting 4 days a week along with a very small amount of field maintenance so far and 1 throwing session to date.

It seems to be exactly what my son needs to be doing at this point so I'm happy with the way things are going so far.

My freshman kid is also in Football pads. Plays fullback and middle linebacker.

He was playing on a fall ball baseball team comprised of high level upperclass varsity players, but head football coach put a kibosh on it, will not allow football players to play another sport during season.

Too bad, it was a good experience. Had to quit after two games.

Same here. The kid is playing freshman football as a wide receiver and defensive end. With practices five or, depending on the coaches' mood, six days a week, there is no time for baseball right now :-{

My oldest is now a freshman as well. He's playing fallball with what is basically the JV team, and he's the starting catcher and cleanup hitter (not a spot I like him in, he's more of a number 2 hitter imo..).
team is taking it on the chin since most of their competition is 16-17 yr olds, but its great experience. Its given him so much confidence that his goal is to be the starting catcher on the JV team in the spring...
i am a freshman and i workout with the varsity team. we do plyometrics (spelling?) and long toss 4 times a week. we also do fielding drills 2-3 times a week. and we lift 3 times a week. i have never gotten real fielding instructions on arm slot, footwork, etc so alot of the stuff he talks about is all pretty new to me but we have 2 months to get it fixed so its all good.
