Orlando, since you’ve been an active contributor to the high school baseball web for many years you know this roller coaster ride is full of “ups and downs”. I consider you one of the most knowledgeable posters on the HSBBW but knowledge doesn’t eliminate that good feeling when your son hits a high peak and that sinking feeling when he hit’s a low spot. Congratulations to Aeden and the family. A high peak for sure!!

As they grow older, the boys seem so much more capable of moderating their reactions than we (or at least some of us) parents. I know it takes a conscious effort on my part not to let highs get too high and lows get too low; but it's essential to sanity --- mine and (more importantly) my son's!

We got the word today that another undrafted teammate is on his way to short season; another is going to an Independent League team. There are many pathways to the boys' dream.
M -- Coach has gotten the OK from MLB for him to play in Barcelona; the Pads have to give their blessing, but that will depend on the status of things closer to time. Short Season is over a few days before the tournament starts, so fingers crossed!

K --- woohoo! I want to hear exactly what it was like! Thank you for being there!

Go Ems!
