Hey TR why is it that EVERY player you list as a top NY player is on YOUR roster? Can we infer that the ONLY top NY players you know of play for you. If not your post is just self-serving if so it seems your exposure to NY players must be limited. I think you have seen many top NY players but have chosen to only include those that play for you on your list. It seems the question you answered was "in your opinion who are the top players on the college select roster".
i think upstate dad has a point.

i also think or know that hit has seen some of the top n.y.kids.also,i think that if you look at some kids and where they committed it is easy
to see the top kids[some of]
matt petiton-univ.of north carolina
joe mercurio-univ.of ill.
ryan powers-miss.state
glen gibson-univ.of central florida
mike belfiore-boston college
joe miller-highpoint univ.
chris manno-duke
d.betances-anyplace he wants to go[pro]
if you don't know most of these kids, your not
the baseball guy you profess to be[t.r.hit].
this is not to take away from the players that were previously posted and there are more out there that i have not named and are real good.

thank you
ozone,
sorry to disagree.up state dad says t.r.is self-
serving and he is.it's all about college select.

there are a number of good players out there in
the n.e. and also in n.y.however,there are only x amount of kids like i named[elite players]
usually everyone[scouts,coaches,other players,
colleges,agents]knows most all these kids.when
you leave a [betances]off any n.y.list it dosen't give that list or person much credability.again,i am not knocking any player
on his list.i am also not knocking any of the players he has from college select.like coach merc said,he knows some of the kids directly.
there should be a topic for business related
posts, let him put his list on there.
also, joe van is a real good player.

thank you
TR...Nice professional response "chill out"? Does that have some meaning or something you just say when nothing of substance seems to fit.

"I don't know what your problem is?" What PROBLEM are you talking about. I mentioned a specific issue I was concerned with. Seems obvious I am concerned with the exclusionary promotion of players that play for your business. What part of that is hard for you to understand? The fact that you did not identify them as playing for your business is all the more troublesome. I do not know if these are good players or not...only that you seem to have a vested interest, that has not been identified by you, in their pomotion. I do NOT have a problem but I do have an interest in the conplete disclosure of relevant facts by business people that chose to post thousands of comments on this board.

From your last post it seems you are saying that in spite of having a showcase in NY within the last few months you have not seen any other top players in NY except for the ones that play for your fall team. To me that seems curious at best.

But I have an idea...why don't you "chill out"? lol
upstate

And I said to you I never mentioned college select in my post--you and bags are the ones with the insinuations--show me where it is self serving if I do not mention college select or any other program for that matter.

Many reading the thread may not reven know about College Select

There is also no need for me to mention other players that I know other coaches will make note of and many played for their programs but just like I, they do not mention the program.

As for the NY showcase many of the players there were not from NY or are playing on the fall team.

Incidently, I truly do not want to offend you but your closing line with the LOL says a lot to me about your thinking process
to t.r.,
coach merc, upstate and i put it to you that you
only relate to your college select players and
you try to change up by bringing in other coaches and other kids from other states.
i looked at your posts for a few years and whether they were relating n.y.,n.j.,conn.,mass.
etc.it always was about the college select players being the best, most times it was far from the truth[not my opinion but that of the scouts and the recruiters]
some examples-
1)last year,conn.-josh zeid, clearly the best player in the state, you hardly mentioned him or
gave him his due yet named best by p.g.& l.slug.
2)this year,conn.-casey frawley,one of the most
highly recruited players in conn.,no ink from
you.curtis casali-07-many feel he's the best catch and throw 07 in the [country].no ink.and there is others in conn. T.R.,isn't it true that
you live in conn.? shouldn't you atleast know the top kids in your own state?
try in your next post if you would like to respond,we are calling you a college select
''homer''.

thank you
bags

Call me what you want--it is a free country--you can , as you say. "put it too me", all you want. I am a big boy I think I can take it.

I certainly will continue to mention players who play for us, again note I did not mention what travel team they played for, and if that is a "homer' so be it.

If you read more closely over the years you would have seen that I have numerous times noted kids who have not played for us.

As for the kids in our NY showcase this year, "upstartdad" mentioned this, the standout players were noted in the review.

Josh did not need me to talk about him as everyone else was as was Casey Frawley. The Casali boy I have heard about but not seen so how can I talk about him.

I don't talk about ppayer I read about like some are prone to do, if you gte my drift. Some only know what they read or hear not what they see

Mainejeff

I will try and help you despite others feeling I am a "homer" -both boys have been to our events

Myckie-- great arm--lefty power bat-- think he will be a 1B in college

Kevin-- great hustler--plays bigger than he is-- solid lefty bat--see him as a LF in college
Mainejeff,
I have personally coached both these boys. Myckie for 1 year and Kevin for the last 5.

Kevin is a "Lenny Dykstra" type player. Tough as nails, Lefty/Lefty with good arm and strong bat. He has competed against the best players in the country over the past few years as a member of the World Yacht Clippers and SF Bandits. He has played in 2 PG events as well as the Fl Renagades Event and has showed himself well. He should be ready step into the Maine program and be an impact player in the outfield. He was always one of the best fielding 1B I'd seen but his size will work against him.

Myckie is a 6'4" C/1B who I see as does TR playing 1B in college. He has had a GREAT HS career in Mahopac where he has carried the team and put up impressive numbers. He will have to work had on his game since he has spent his last few summers playing locally for a Legion program, now he's with the big boys. He swings a lefty bat and possesses a strong arm. He too will enjoy Maine.

Coach Trimper reached back to his NY ties to get these 2 players and I expect them to have good careers in Orno. Both are dedicated ballplayers who should be a positive influence on those around them.

Jbags,

I am not protecting anyone.

Just calling notice to your inane statements.

Read it slowly.

This is my first post. I have been reading this site for the past year or so. It is a great resource for me both professionally and recreationally. It is great to hear about the success of players in the underrated northeast area.
Unfortunately some adults feel the need to use this forum to trash one another. Some of this is ironic. If Jbags is who I think he is than he has no right to speak poorly of TR/College Select's postings since I believe you also have a business interest as a "college recruiter" who attempts to place players in college for a fee.
I see nothing wrong with what either of you do as long as the kids best interest is in mind.TR's history leads me to believe it is.Jbags post seems to only involve tearing others down. This is not how I feel youth baseball people should conduct themselves.I hope we can return to speaking about the players.
Mainejeff,
I believe Coach Trimper had 6 verbals and has received 5 NLI'S beside the three you mentioned there is Lee Verweel LHP from Toronto and Matt Howard OF from Weston, MA. The last one is a player from Maine. I believe he also has a D1 transfer. He's very happy with his class and will make the formal announcement on Wednesday.
