Just had some question on the Short Screen "Net Drill". Can you explain what this drill is and what it is trying to accomplish? Thanks.
sure.. Kevin Long moves the net about 15 - 20 feet away and underhand flips it (with some velovity on it). He tells his players he wants the ball off the net or oppo regardless of where the pitch location is. He said he felt it was good to start off because players "stay inside" the ball and also shorten their swing by trying to drive an inside pitch to the opposite field.
