In the Southern Section of So Cal we have no rules that govern us on off season participation and we can coach are kids year around. Our year around program is exstensive approx. 30 games spring, 18 during summer, and approx. 20 in the fall/winter on Saturdays. With that said I do try to keep our off season practices light and keep it to an hour. I am looking at ideas on how to revamp our off season pitching including bullpens, conditioning, plyos, and mechanics. I would be interested in hearing from HS coaches on how they run their staffs on a wekk to week basis. I would also like to hear from parents on what you kids do in the off season.
