Colleges are in the business to make money... Son's textbooks are astonishing in price... another example of how they make a few extra dollars. He is at a UNC system school so our tuition is very reasonable. I guess. Smile

We have had some luck with textbooks.com. What bites is when we ask how often he used a particularly expensive book ---- We don't ask anymore.
I had a college prof who made his book required reading. He did two 300 student lectures a week. That's 600 books time $30 (70's money) or $18,000 which he got a good chunk of the proceeds (off beat publisher). The NYT's review said, "I can't believe this was written by a literate person, much less a professor.
