Please forgive me for posting this message that is not directly related to baseball. But, as the parent of a high school freshman with autism, who has the audacity to believe that he will successfuly complete high school, and go on to college and play baseball at that level, I am asking my fellow New Yorkers to go to the following link where you can send an email to Govenor Eliot Spitzer stating that you want him to sign bill A5396-A. This is an important bill that will ultimately insure that our school districts will continue to make strides in their ability to provide special needs students with an appropriate education.

These kids have tremendous potential, so long as their education and development are well managed, and they will ultimately repay society--several times over--for our investment in them. You can take that to the bank.

It only takes about two minutes to send this message to our legislators. I beg you, please support these kids. They are worth it.

Govenor Spitzer's deadline for signing this bill is Wednesday Night at midnight, so please act quickly. Here is the link. Thanks.

http://capwiz.com/nsasa/home/ go to this link and click on the "take action" button. Then just fill in your personal information in the fields given. It's that simple.

Respectfully Yours,

Strike
