In the first game of the day, it appears that the Giants may have tied the Royals. In the second game, the Reds beat the Pirates. Pitchers of the game for game 2 were Brandon Parent of FMHS and Jeff Emens of Plano East. The hitters of the game were Ryan Payne of Hebron HS and Jerry Owen of Prestonwood.

In the NIGHTcap, the Orioles beat the A's. Pitchers of the game for game 3 were Travis Jones of HPHS and Jake Foster of Midlothian HS. The hitters of the game were Blake Hamblen of Rowlett HS and Trey Sorrels of McKinney North HS.

The Metro Scout League passed out Scout Books to the following professional organizations and colleges throughout the day: Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, NY Yankees, Northwood U, DBU, U of Nebraska, ACU, UTA, Midland College and Howard JC.

I believe that is a total of 43 scouts/coaches that have received scout books from us. Our goal was 10 a week for a total of 50. The average of the 3 week period is 14 per week. There are 21 schools and or pro organizations that have RSVP'd for the next 2 weeks. As Mrs. Catcher will tell you, some folks do not fully understand the rules of the RSVP, so we will see what happens the next 2 weeks...

NOTES- NEXT WEEKS GAME TIMES at UTA WILL BE AT 10am, 130pm, AND 5pm. AN ADDED TREAT FOR THE LAST WEEKEND OF THE MSL WILL BE THAT EACH HITTER WILL BE GIVEN THE OPTION OF METAL OR WOOD FOR THEIR AB'S.

In the case of rain, do us a favor and call your MSL coach. Try and not call the number provided. Your coach can update you on the weather if needed.
If anyone has any questions, please call one of the directors or send us a PM.
