I know that a student athlete can make only 5 official visits but is there a limit to how many students a school can offer official visits to?

I believe they can host 25 official visits.
Thanks! Now my next question is what does the school need to ask you to come on an official visit? Do they need a transcript and SAT or ACT test scores?
That is what the TCU coach told us this weekend. They had to have these items in hand. It could also be a PSAT score.
Can't all this information be obtained from the Clearinghouse and don't you have to be registered witht he Clearinghouse to make an official visit?
No alexgdog. The Clearinghouse is for eligibility to play college sports not for official visits. It takes a long time for them to give clearance so make sure you get them the transcripts and the test scores as quickly as possible. My son had everything to them by June 15th and they still haven't cleared him.
Also a student athlete can make as many unofficial visits as he/she wants.(Not paid by the college but by the student or his parents)
