My daughter began asking to pierce her belly button at about 15 too. I refused to allow it . She then used to tell me as soon as she turned 18 she was getting it done. Well she turned 18 in dec. 02 and didn't get it done. Then she told me she was getting it done on her senior trip. Well she graduated may "03 went on her trip in june. Guess what? She has now been 19 since dec. 29th and still no belly ring. Guess she only really wanted to do it because I didn't want her to. Now that she could if she wanted , not as much fun. They get over that stuff pretty fast.
