ok how can you get your son noticed

Did he go to any of his favorite college's camps over the winter? Please make sure that he looks at their websites and finds out when their camps are and gets to one of them.

Get him to showcases. Make sure he is fine tuned before he goes. Strong, fast, and hustling all the time. First thing scouts look for is speed now a days. Get him doing a speed program.

If he can get an invite from his high school coach to the plainfield showcase he will get lots of looks.

I agree with that. Speed kills. Start working out with someone no matter how young your kids are. My little brother is 11 and does it. He is faster than most kids in my freshman team. If you have any questions let me know.

I came from the school of don;t ask just do your job and I know it is a tricky situation. But he was hurt as a Freshman, Did well as a Soph and wants to be given a chance as a JR.

Getting caught behind other players can be a tricky deal.

Couple things I would do. Be the first one to practice and games. Out hustle every kid on the team in practice. Be a team player, be the guy who jumps up off the bench to get a pitcher loosened up, without being told to do so. Pay attention to situations in the game while your on the bench. Get a feel for the game so if the situation calls, you are mentally ready to rock and roll...

Try to steal oppossing teams signs from the bench. There are plenty of ways to get noticed.

The hard part often isnt getting noticed but its doing the things it takes to get you noticed.

He is a pitcher, not a starter, has gotten in some of the JV games and has done well. I am hoping at his travel team this summer him being in the rotation and gaining some confidence will help him senior year.

You could get him a special hat to make him stand out
