bsbl247,

PM'd my cell to you. I havent been on here as were in LA for a ten day vaca and enjoying the ocean and the great eateries by the beach.

Plan on being there by about three to catch last half of Irvine Pepperdine and get ready for usc/UCLA.should be a great gam as we have exactly the same records going into today.

Weather is beautiful.
FOG.bsbl.BOF all had a nice chat yesterday and also got to watch Truman's son play. Great to put faces with "names".

Does not get much better than this, get to leave work early, nice day, two good games for $5. I noticed they dropped to price of Dodger Dogs to $2.5 for the poor college parents, but heard they were still charging $9 for a beer... hmmm....

Not very often you go to a college baseball game and see bands and cheerleaders. Gota love the cross town rivalry games.

Best of luck to Truman's, bsbl's and FOG's sons the rest of the season!

Its a funny thing when you meet fellow posters, its like you are already friends. Its nice to have support in the highs and lows of baseball. Many on here have supported us in many difficult times.

Last night was a low,son had a tough game, team lost.BUT thats baseball and tough players have to move on from bad games. The mental aspect is what separates you out in the end.
It was pretty cool hanging out with BOF yesterday, and getting the chance to spend some time with FAN and her husband. Nothing beats watching/talking baseball...especially when our kids are involved, and you know what....my son is a heck of a Batboy right now! Wink

The UCI/Pepperdine game looked as if it would be a high scoring game after two innings of play, but it ended up being a typical pitchers duel and the Waves finished on top 3-2. The Eaters bats are struggling mightily, I hope they turn it around soon, otherwise a regional appearance is highly unlikely.

UCLA beat USC 7-2. I left Dodgers Stadium in the 6th inning after FAN's son's 3rd AB. It's refreshing to see the Bruins and Trojans both playing good baseball. They're for real and will be making noise at the end of May and into June. Gotta Love Rivalry games...the atmosphere in Dodgers Stadium was fun. As CD said earlier, FAN's son has been playing good baseball early on and his bat has been en fuego. It's okay to have 0-fer games every once in awhile, he'll no doubt bounce back.

The last couple of weeks I've hung out with BOF, Fan of the Game, and Just Baseball...the baseball world is smaller than we think, Good Stuff!
