That is what we said about his working with John Farrell. Big Grin

Course pitching in the NL is easier then in the AL. He also knows the hitters better there. Maybe his ERA will only be 6+ instead of 8+. Get ready for 5 innings of 5 run ball!!

I wish him the best..hopefully he can pitch a beauty or two for the Cards...then retire gracefully, because he just doesn't have it any more.

Hope he continues to do well in St louis. Maybe St louis could take Brad Penny next!!

Someone mentioned this in the other thread, a pitcher never should face ANY hitter in professional ball with the above attitude. In fact, a pitcher should never face any hitter at anytime with that attitude.

Of course being 4 runs ahead helps a lot too. Smile
That's called working as a team. Haven't you ever seen that in baseball?

What I don't get is that he had some issues (tipping pitches for one), couldn't anyone figure that out, or is Duncan the only pitching coach in MLB to notice those things?

My personal feeling is he should have not come back. Perhaps he realized that also. My understanding is that he wasn't going out a loser.
