Watching the Red Sox \ Rangers tonight.

Why do managers think that pitchers can be effective pinch runners? Bucholz got caught as the tying run not knowing what to do on a double. It was a tough base running situation, but a situation where smarts were more important than speed...

Happy birthday to him and the Sox scored a few more runs, so maybe its just an opportunity to learn from this mistake...
