I found a 3 week hitting program for free on thehittingproject.com. I will post the link on the bottom. I was wondering what you guys think of it and should I use it. I was also wondering if I should use my game bat or a heavier wood bat because this program has hitters take over 1,000 swings in three weeks.http://www.thehittingproject.c.../hitting-program.pdf

Looks like an interesting program. As for what bat to use I would use a wood bat that feels similar to your regular bat. The wood will let you know when you hit the sweet spot of the bat. All of the older/better players I know train with wood. IMNHO, the time to use a heavier bat is when you're doing overload/underload training and make sure that the weight is sensible.
I've often heard that a heavier wood bat should be somewhere around 15% above your normal swing weight. My son normally swings a 33/30, but his heavy bat is a +2. As sowilson stated, use the heavy bat for limited drills.
I like it, though I would eliminate the top and bottom hand drills (I think them useless). It seems like a good routine. Use wood, but be prepared for blisters if you don't wear gloves.

Low,
I do the one-hand drills with my son. I like the top hand drill because it trains him to keep the barrel from dropping through the swing, and the bottom hand drill encourages a short swing. This only works with a high tee (didn't see this mentioned in this program). Also, I didn't see tee position mentioned in this program with respect to hitting to opposite field vs up the middle vs pull.
