Hello,

Great site, am usually a reader who learns a lot-Thank you all,

today I have a question:

My son has been talking to several schools and we are visiting several in the next few months for camps, etc

He has been invited to play with some strong teams next summer and is investigating others.

We have been fortunate in that he has had a few excellent coaches who have 'showcased' him and called schools, etc in that past 2 years.

That team may not be continuing (some players left for the Astros and Marucci Elite) so looking around

andwe know some teams want to fill out a roster, are money-driven, etc- which we'd like to avoid

This fall he primarily caught 18u,

and 17u is a summer level target for 2014.

We researched some of these names on this site,

however we would like to hear what people thought of these programs:

Tri State Arsenal (is Showcase 1 the team to aim to be on)?

Long Island Marucci Titans?

World Yacht Clippers?

East Cobb Titans?

Hi,

He is a 2015 catcher,

a young 2015 (the topic of should we have grey-shirted him to 2016 is a thread for another day).

He caught for an Atlanta based team last summer, great kids from around the Southeast and 3 other northerners; and a super coach.

Good exposure/attention (schools came to see several pitchers, at least 3 of whom signed with top D1 schools, others have offers), he was fortunate to throw people out and hit well when eyes were on those pitchers.

At this point we have been told he should be on the best possible team where he'll catch.

Open for ideas, will have to decide how far we'll go & if it is worth it.

With the Arsenal your kid wants to be on the A team. I'm not sure what color that is now. Fillsfan's son played for the Arsenal starting at 13U all the way through. The Clippers coach is a well regarded coach and member of this site. Does your son have a place to live to play for East Cobb?
