I agree with alot of that list but I don't think DeSoto is on the edge. I haven't seen them play this year but they would have to be a ton better than last year to be on the edge of being one of the top teams in North Texas. Last year they were scraping the bottom of the barrel in 8-5A. Maybe they have improved that much, I guess time will tell.
Lamar.....I would agree with you 100%. We scrimmaged them earlier this year and there were several players that looked like they haven't played much ball in the past.

I will list my honest opinions about this list:
Richland is great this year, but #2 I'm not so sure about thatt. They have us (Colleyville Heritage) at number 12 behind 3 district opponents, Carrol, Richland, and Grapevine when I believe we are on of the premeir 5A teams in the state.
Plano West should definately be one, and Martin should be in the top 5 as well but i dont know if i agree with the others. I would put Heritage, Coppell, and Plano East somewhere there in the top 5. I dont understand Desoto or Lewisville being on the edge either.

Not that 1 game makes a season, but Desoto got No Hit tonight, and beat in five innings 10-0 by Arlington.

Coach Chuck Wells is a winner. He is also one of the easiest coaches to play for and doesn't take any **** from parents.

I know they have a they have a couple of 2010's (Polk, Cotton) making significant contributions.

We are in a very tough district....lots of great talent to battle.
If the Houston coaches/dads see your post they will surely become unglued!
I am pulling for the NORTH who ever(from the small pond) makes it to Austin I hope they come back with a state title!

Kirk,
Nathan burns and cole Cox are a couple of my players, they can play, I think Richland is a little overated, they will probably contend for 3rd or 4th in thier district...Kellerdad is correct, that team has had talent for several years and no coaching! Until now!
