Outfield Arm Grades | High School Baseball Web

I was wondering if some coach or scout could give me some insight as to what would be considered a good outfield arm grade(in mph) to be considered for a division 1 baseball player. I know that there are many more things to consider such as read of the ball, positioning, how quickly the ball is released, carry of the ball etc. For now, however, I was only wondering about the speed of the throw. Thanks for any help you can give me on this topic!!

Go to perfectgame.org and go through the player profiles. Check arm speeds of the top-notch players.

The top OF arms are 90MPH+ from OF with carry on tight line perpendicular to the ground and nice shallow one hope skip on artificial turf with possibly two hops off grass. Shep's .02

What would be better?
Having a 90+ arm and bad technique, Taking 2 or 3 steps to get rid of the ball?
Or, Good Technique, Fluid motion thru the Ball, come up Throwing 85 MPH?

This is not to say however that instructors couldn't eliminate a couple of those steps from the 90MPH OF arm
