Today, I finished reading the book
recommended in Sunday's newspaper by Clint
Eastwood.

The name of the 1' by 1' book is "Wisdom" by Andrew Zuckerman.

This is a collection of short footnotes from 50 famous actors, writers, actors, politicans,
painters. Each person is over 65 years of age.

Chinua Achebe "Nobody can teach me who I am".
Buzz Aldrin "Fear is a paralyzing emotion".
Dave Brubeck "You have to be taught to hate"
Billy Connolly "Wisdom is constant questioning of where you are"
Bryce Courtenay "Generosity overpowers greed"
Clint Eastwood "If a person is confident in the way they feel - you don't have anything to prove".
Nick Notle ""True compassion is recognizing the true peace in yourself".
Billie Jean King "Champions adjust" Pressure is a privilege"

As parents and grandparents we can provide to our
young athletes the wisdom of our positive experiences.

I've been reading a few books lately, both for school and free time. We just finished "Night" which is a true story of a holocaust survivor and it was great for non baseball/sport readers. I also read "The 26th Man" by Steve Fireovid, A long-time minor league pitcher and had a few appearances in the MLB. It is about one of his last years playing and trying to make an MLB roster. I am currently reading "Ten Rings" by Yogi Berra which is about his career told from his stand point. Anyone happen to have read either "Playing for Pizza" or "Embedded Balls"? Neither are baseball but are sports related and I have bought both and I am wondering about people's reviews.
