Over-officiating or good call

Kids lays down bunt down 1st base line. He is about 1 step from 1st when he gets plunked in the helmet by throw from pitcher. Literally, he had less then half his left foot that was in fair territory. Called out for interferences, I understand the rule but it was a bang, bang play and batter was going for the base (which is in fair territory).
To our military men, women and families - You are all awesome - that flag is yours and I thank you for the opportunity for giving me the honor of removing my cap prior to every baseball game I see.

I would and have called for a "foot" the appendage, not inches, clearly outside the line to the left and to the right. I had one this weekend that coach wanted me to call but I said no.

That was a bunt up the 3b line, and with the BR's left foot clearly to the left of the foul line on his last stride with his right foot going to the bag the ball whistles passed his left ear, no contact with the ball, F3 misses it and it sails into right, scores the runner from second and BR reaches 2nd. Sorry skip I got nothing.

Had one similar tonight. Dropped third strike, BR's last stride with left foot going to the bag, right foot clearly in the lane the throw drills the BR in the left calf, sorry skip I got nothing there either.
The runner has to physically leave the lane to touch the bag as the bag is outside the lane, if he
is striding to the bag with the right foot, guess what? Not only is his left foot, but most of his body is to the left of the lane, IMO you gotta let that go. Prior too the last stride, any thing "clearly outside and on the ground" will get the BR rung up.
