It will be interesting to see if the NCAA considers & adopts some of these recommendations from one of the groups they've been in cahoots with the last 30+ years.  The NCAA, College Presidents, ESPN & others have been tied at the hip to make a lot of money for a long time.  It seems to me the College Presidents are trying to take some of that control back just as they should.  JMO.

Soylent my guess is that you would want the last one, liberalizing transfer rules, because one of the other reforms suggested is guaranteed scholarships until  a degree is earned.  Because you are guaranteeing the scholarship you would want to make it easier for a student to leave if a student athlete does not want to be there.

I guess if I had a kid who was discontent and really wanted to move, then you're probably right I would want the more liberal rules... Maybe.  But my thinking in saying that originally is that even if eligibility becomes easier to transfer, credit hours will remain difficult to fully transfer.  So wouldn't this just lead to more student-athletes failing to attain a degree?  I may well be missing something here since I haven't been through any of this first hand... but if the schools began guarantying 4 year scholarship money, I would rather see guys stick it out and earn their degree even if baseball went south on them.  Again, I realize that's easy to say in theory and less so if you're the kid who wants to transfer for better on field opportunities.  Would appreciate any clarification if I'm reading all of that wrong.
