Panther Baseball Academy
MISSION
The mission of Panther Baseball Academy is to give the young baseball players in southwest Ft. Worth and the Hulen Corridor quality, professional baseball instruction so that when they reach high school (we hope it's at North Crowley) they have a strong base of baseball skill, baseball knowledge, and a positive team first attitude.
FOCUS
We will offer teams at various age groups. The focus of the team depends on the age level. The younger the team, the more we will stress on fundamentals. Well run practices stressing individual position drills are key. Strength training baseball specific movements will also be a primary focus.
The older the team is, the more emphasis is placed on in game situations. While practice is still important, in-game experience is stressed.
AFFILIATION
Do you have to be attending North Crowley HS in the future in order to play on one of our teams...no. We will treat all players equally regardless of future high school affiliation. However, we are upfront in that the main objective is to send a more finished player product to North Crowley HS. The baseball facility at North Crowley HS will be where we are based out of.
We are looking to field a 10 U, 12 U, and maybe a 14 U team this fall. David McGhee (one of my assistant coach's at NCHS) and I do not coach football so we will be coaching a team. UIL rules permit us from coaching the 14 U kids so we will have a professional coach with an extensive baseball background to coach that team.
Tryout dates are as follows...
10U and 12U...Tuesday July 30, August 6, and August 13 at 6:30pm at North Crowley HS.
14U...Thursday August 1, 8, and 15 at 6:30pm at North Crowley HS.
If those dates and times do not work, then email PBA director Art Senato for a one on one tryout at geaux12@hotmail.com
Fee for the fall for 10U and 12U is $600. The fee will cover 2 jersey's, a hat, 4 tournament fees, game balls, practice balls/bucket, helmets, help pay for coaches. Teams will practice twice a week.
14U will be $700 because they will play in 5-6 tournaments.
Players must provide white pants, royal blue belt and socks, personal baseball equipment.
Sincerely,
Art Senato
