Scenario: Leadoff walk, Stolen Base, Passed ball - runner advance to third and next guy singles.. Is this earned or unearned.

Note: hit was to center past the infield, so I am guessing the runner would have held up at third on that..or else gunned down easy at home.

I know passed balls are errors and runs scored due to that not counted against but each case is different. thanks

According to MLB rules, passed balls are not counted as errors but are a separate category.

Here is the MLB rule for earned runs on passed balls: [B](d) No run shall be earned when the scoring runner's advance has been aided by an error, a passed ball or defensive interference or obstruction, if in the official scorer’s judgment the run would not have scored without the aid of such misplay
It really depends of what happened the rest of the inning. If the next three guys get struck out, the run is not earned. If the next two guys get singles, the run would be earned. Since the runner got on by a walk and would have scored if the inning played out where he would have scored from 1st or 2nd anyway, then the run is earned. Hope that makes sense to you.
