Happy to say this, yesterday my  2019LHP received an offer and made a verbal commit to the school of his dreams! We did a showcase this summer that was 8 pitches and 3 ground balls and it was explained to me not to showcase when we had nothing to showcase with a 6'2" 15 yo lefty throwing 81. We went to Lake Pointe in July, Fort Myers in October and made all tourney in both PG events and saw velo move from 78-81 to 81-84. Still after 10 strikeout 5ip 2 hit no walk 61 pitch 49 strike outing in Fort Myers didn't see much love. Went to a camp this past weekend threw 3 innings in front of head coach Saturday night, and was told because my kid knows how to pitch, make in game adjustments and has very solid mechanics that sometimes can't be taught, received and accepted a D1 very solid offer on Sunday! More than one path to reach your goals!  #hardworkpaysoff, #veloisnteverything! Proud of my son beyond belief!

Congratulation to your son, 2018Lefty21.

I know how awesome it feels f or a parent when son gets the "school of his dreams."

Never thought we would be committing early but it is really sweet to know that we hopefully won't be scrambling at the end and that I can enjoy the next 3 seasons of high school and just work on being healthy and getting stronger! I guess son will have a different kind of pressure that comes with being a D1 Commit but should enjoy the ride. Never dreamed of an offer like this right out of the gate!

Thanks to all! Seems like we spent forever this year planning and trying to figure out the best way to get my son in front of the right people, and what it came down to was the one and only college camp that was a late add to the plan! Moral to the story from my perspective is A,  the importance of my son's skill set and attitude, B the importance of having of having a plan and realizing it may change, and C. Learning from everyone on this board even though I may get angry and not agree with what I'm told! If anyone with a son starting down this road has any specific questions, feel free to PM and I will share!
