I went to see the documentary this evening. I don't believe there's much about the movie the knowledgeable baseball parents on this site wouldn't already know. For me the only real impact was how so many people, scouts, player developers, agents and members of a large families see a sixteen year old kid as a meal ticket. That's a lot of pressure for a kid. Think about how safe and secure our kids feel at sixteen.

One thing I was disappointed the movie didn't address is all the Dominican kids who drop out of school by fourteen, don't get an education and place their entire future in a roll of the dice on baseball, and fail.

I'd would give the movie a B-. If you don't like the idea of spending ten dollars on a seventy-five minute movie wait for the video.
