Perfect Game 2006 15 & Under Midwest Showcase

I thought this event was scheduled fo the last week of June. If not, that's a great question. Why in early or in the middle of May would they possibly schedule this showcase?

I think that the Midwest showcase is scheduled for May in order to allow players from states that play summer HS baseball seasons to attend. (I'm pretty sure this is true of Iowa high schools.)

It's my understanding that a kid playing IHSA high school ball cannot participate in any organized showcase etc. of the same sport while still playing in school? So wouldn't this showcase would exclude IL kids?

Yes, you are correct. Iowa high schools play summer ball, so the first official practices are usually the first Monday in May and first games are usually last week in May.

I believe Wisconsin the the same.

WI schools play either a spring or summer season. The summer season practices begin no earlier than May 15 so the PG Showcase in IA is perfect for some of us Cheeseheads

PG Showcase in Iowa? Hellooo,...a little clueless here. I'm new at this whole message board thing so please bear with me. What PG Showcase in Iowa? Live in Kansas and have been searching for a week now to find a midwest showcase and feel like I'm looking for a needle in a hay stack. Would you be willing to direct me to the info about this showcase? ( pleeease )
