Be in good "shape" as in baseball shape to show off your skills.

If you're a pitcher, your arm should be in off season shape, maybe not 88-90, but 86-88 or so.

If you're a hitter, make sure you've seen some live pitching before you show up to the showcases;

If you have running speed, make sure you've practiced and timed yourself in the 60 yard dash; (in running/sprinting shape);

If you're an infielder, make sure you practice your throws from deep short (testing your arm strength); and,

If you're an outfielder, make sure your arm is in shape to throw 2-3 from right to 3rd base; and, 2-3 from right field to home plate.

Another bit of advice...stay 'til the end of the showcase. Some kids leave early and you get a chance to show your stuff a little while longer, not to mention the fact that you show the showcase people and coaches and scouts that you want to show everyone you can PLAY!

Good luck.
